Dogs Poem by Sandra Osborne

Dogs

Rating: 3.4

White ones, black ones,
Red ones too,
Brown ones, spotted ones,
One is Blue.

Jackson, Brandy
Stonewall and Poot,
Skully, Giggles
And Juna to boot.

These smart seven kids,
They make up a pack.
They’re all so different,
My favorite is Jack.

Big ones, little ones,
Some in between,
Stonewall’s the Big Dog,
Juna’s his Queen.

Some are chiseled,
Some are fat,
And if they run out of food,
There’s always the cats!

(2/25/2005)

Sad note... Jackson died on 3/13/2006. I loved him so

Do you think we could, after my detour visit to wherever you are, in the midst of winter, have a dance like this, combined with a snowbath? I will tell you the details about a snowbath, must try to bring Allan. Put a Russian fur hat on his 4 hairs and ready we are. No chiffon for you though. Isn't it fun to have a real childhood memory come back just from the sounds of a poem! Love it. H
