from "While Passing Through"/Summer
Heavy summer air—
long green meadow—
white dog leaping.
Facets of perception and feeling combine in everyday wonder. Heaviness, whiteness, greenness and spacioiusness have no necessary connection, but in the sensorium they join as a seamless whole. There seems to be an aesthetic dimension to how momentary consciousness hangs together.
and it's interesting to me, denis, why certain things catch our attention. this did, and the dog seemed to be defying gravity at that moment. thank you for you comment! -glen
