Does he ever write you poems
Love, devotion, hope
Will he hold you in arms
Kiss you, just to let you know
That you're his princess,
you're his angel
The shining light in his life
Does he ever tell you
that if he's a lion,
then you're his pride?
Does he whisper in your ear
'Baby, I'll stay by your side'
Or will he sing you to sleep
throughout the night
Will he stare at that phone
No matter what you do
Always hoping, always thinking,
he'll hear from you?
And will he hold your hand
Even if he's mad
When things get bad
Will he still have your back?
When love turns to lust
Will he always come around
Will he always want,
Afterwards,
to settle down
If the answer is yes
Let me tell you something then
You're only about halfway
Halfway, to matching my boyfriend
