Is it needing to be wanted?
Or wanting to be needed?
Why choose now to dropp this on me?
Do I really seem stable?
Is it that I'm the only one here?
A lack of options?
I've been there before,
And it nearly killed me,

Can't you see, I cannot be,
What it is you ask of me?
Why should I wait?
Is it my fault?
Do I really ask to be hurt over again?
You can tell I'm in love,
But not with you,
So why pursue me?

You followed it up by saying you're not ready,
To be the one I lean upon,
So what was the point?
Worm on the hook, is that my place?
I've been there before too,
Is that what you want from me again?
Digging deeper into my soul,
Taking what I am and using it yourself?

Do you see my scars?
Or my open wounds?
They won't heal, it's too soon,
If you do you simply ignore,
Why?
I tried so hard, lost it all,
In the end it dosen't matter,
Can you see that I cannot be,
All these things you ask of me?
