Do You Remember Poem by Nalini Jyotsana Chaturvedi

Do You Remember

Do you remember
How I looked at you
Enchanted eyes
Loved you for true

Did you forget
The peck of my lips
Furtive touches
As I felt your finger tips

Don't you remember
How I loved your voice
Surrendering
to strong arms
My only choice

It is now, for me
An unforgettable dream
Never again!
My hurt heart
Does scream.

And you already
Looking for
Change of scene

The girl I was
Is now all dead
A hollow carcass
Is all that's left.

Eagles and vultures
Ready to devour
Rest of remains
Will join sands
Of the shores
