Do You Remember? Poem by amanda awan

Do You Remember?

you're leaving next year i'll be all alone,
with no best friend on my side to lean on.
i reminisce about the memories this past year,
how you helped me through, having nothing to fear.

do you remember the time we made a hole?
we said its a hideout for the time of distress and cold.
we laughed and joked for a shelter it would be,
to stop us from dying when 2012 comes suddenly.

do you remember the time of ASA?
we had fun running around ditching our CCA's.
the basement was haunted don't go down there,
really you'll get hurt, a ghost! it scares!

Do you remember the librart? the talks we had,
we shared many secrets, that is a fact.
our siblings would come and interrupt it,
we'd send them out, dey threw a fit.

Do you remember when we fought with those boys?
i didn't know what to say you were my voice.
you defended me and we had a laugh,
we were there for each other when times were rough.

you helped and built me through this year,
with you by my side i have nothing to fear.
but you'll be gone soon, probably out of my life,
but i really hope it'll only be for a while.

you're leaving next year i'll be all alone,
with no best friend on my side to lean on.
but the memories we created were worth the while,
even when someday you'll forget me after awhile.
