Do Try To Live Good Poem by Francis Duggan

Do Try To Live Good

Since many must lose for one to be best
What matter if you fail when put to the test
As long as you give it your very best try
The word failure to you should never apply
One can only give it their best try that's the best one can do
And for one to be number one there must be a number two
The best team are winners on big final day
And winners are grinners as some are known to say
The winner can smile in the glow of renown
But since only one can be the best in the town
Why worry about it and why bother to stress
At what you perceive as your lack of success
And since the longest life in time is not a lengthy span
Do try to live good and for as long as you can.
