Do Not Let Go...(The Dark Flood) Poem by Sharon Smith

Do Not Let Go...(The Dark Flood)

Rating: 4.8

My soul is disturbed..
as one sat down beside me.
An angel..
but not one of You Lord.
How my soul cringed..repelled,
merely by its presence.
He smiled..
a smile that told me..he knew!
Lord, are You teaching?
There is already discernment.

They have found me!
The dark ones that wish me harm.
Lord..take him away..as my soul is repulsed!
Dreaded thoughts wash over me
Lord, You speak to me in the early morning
and tell me of the day..
My mind already knows what is to be..yet
will not reveal...
Knowledge beyond knowledge You give..
and my memories are of things yet to happen..
a feeling of terrible dread.

The Time draws near
Oh, this is but one of the dark ones..
yet there be many
I hear the flood..it comes.

Oh my Lord..do not let go...do not!

How they tried to destroy my faith
when You awoke me..
To break the Bond..they tried..
but Your words were strong and my faith solid,
so as to draw me up to You.

Already it starts..
Words that pierce me.
You know my heart..
although I think my fear is hidden,
I know better.
You know my fear..
that this evil plays tricks..
and I be lost to You.
Fear is his food..
his words are drawn swords..
smooth that they are.
My love for You is what he despises!

It is night.
Oh how his torturous words pierce me.
The evil one persecutes..
accuses me with his words of grey..
that extend into a labyrinth of battles.
How cunning are his words of deceit
How close these words are to Yours Lord..
a pin could fit between.
I know not, at times, who is speaking
I am fighting that which I cannot see
If I listen to words that are not Yours...
words that hurt me..
cause me to struggle from the darkness,
oh...how I feel the fury of Your Jealousy..
through my very bones!
How I want him to stop..
but his mocking words keep coming.
Sleep is no relief..as it continues even then.
There will be no peace until the day breaks
Your Words are in me..
I cannot still my passion..
and You have prepared me for battle.

Oh that I could sing..once again..
my hearts song

The battles in my head..so fierce..
that death be sweet.
Night after night..hour after hour..it continues
Daytime? ...a strange place.
Does no one else see? Does no one else hear?
Does any one even know this exists?
I am silent of this to those that speak to me..
A strained smile I hide behind.
Who would I tell? What would I say?

The Lord has hedged me to Himself.
He will deal with those that afflict me.

In the Spirit it is done.

Chapter 29: Verse 7And the multitude of all the nations that war against Ariel, even all that war against her, and the bulwarks about her, and they that distress her, shall be as a dream, a vision of the night.

Song of songs...

6..Set me as a seal upon your heart,
As a seal upon your arm;
For love is as strong as death,
Jealousy as cruel as the grave; [a]
Its flames are flames of fire,
A most vehement[b] flame.

7..Many waters cannot quench love,
Nor can the floods drown it.
If a man would give for love
All the wealth of his house,
It would be utterly despised.
