Divine 'Contact'.. Poem by Sharon Smith

Somewhere..Someone..arms around me..this I see
Love's warmth running through..every part of me
Awaken so gently pleading..'Please don't You go'
My fists clenched..to hold it in..'Oh no..no..no..no..no'
Who was that..the warmth..it's still seeping through my soul
Could not see a face..yet the Spirit, it was Whole
Should I dare to think..that I know just Who that be..
that poured out His Love..through the very essence of me?
What is now happening..something very strange I fear
Don't think about it..just a dream..not so near
A conflict..with human common sense and the mind
Only left my spirit in a terrible..unsettled bind
Oh how could I dare..even think such a thing?
But my heart would not cease..it continued yet to sing
My mind must be playing games..tricks here I see
How dare I even think that He would even bother with me
But my heart..it knew better..and humbled me through and through
And every thought..breath and heartbeat..would soon belong to You
As my whole little, tiny world..I was in every day
Was blown right from the water..a different scenario now in play
'You must trust Me with all of your heart..yes..now I Am here'
Oh this can't be happening..going mad..Oh this I fear
'Why do you not trust..in the Words I have to say? '
Oh this must be a trick..yes..satan go away! !
'It is I that speak to you..and here now I will say..
You must follow Me in faith..as Abraham did this way..
You have been quick in your way..at this Time to believe..
that satan can speak to you..and hence..but to deceive..
But now..you go and worry yourself..the fact that I Am here?
and your soul becomes so faint..becomes so full of human fear
Am I not the One Speaking now..that evil is subject to
Can I not keep him away..away from harming you? '
Oh my head..so in strife..so troubled is my mind
What if I am to trust here..then it's satan that I find;
showing his wonders to deceive all that I know is true
disguising himself as an angel of light..one that comes from You?
'Offer all that you do..only unto Me
Who else can then touch it? ..no one..you will see
Put your faith and all your trust..in all that you do
Be to Me..Faithful and true..as I Am to you
Full faith in your heart..and also in your mind
I Am with you..always with you..and only Me you'll find
No Time for adolecence..any useless fears or doubt..
Just take My Hand..trust in Me..and then just follow Me out'
