Do Not Forget The Soul Of Blake Poem by Shalom Freedman

Do Not Forget The Soul Of Blake

DO NOT FORGET THE SOUL OF BLAKE

Do not forget the tiger and the lamb
Do not forget the flower in the hand
The infinite in the grain of sand-
The pebble and the clod
The nobodaddy God-
The sickness of the rose
The secret love no one knows-
The bright and pleasant land
The self- forged manacles of man-
The visionary dream
Angelic wings drawn unseen-
Do not forget the soul of Blake,
Whose greatness God Alone dared make.
