Before the rays of sun leak
Lights and Sounds loudly speak
Holy bath goes on full steam
Dresses and Sweets proudly scream

For some, victory of good over evil
For others, valor subdued by will
Start of a New Year for many
For others, time to worship the goddess of money

Nay, Diwali is not about 'wear and tear'...
It is about happiness everywhere…
Share the sweet; Share the cracker
Share on the street, whatever we have

Time to unshackle mental clamps
Time to lit philanthropic lamps
Let us spread the smile far and wide
Let Diwali be our culture's pride..
