We touch … there is no feeling
We speak … there is no voice
We kiss … there is no passion
Distance only restrains our love

We smile … there is no joy
We cry… pouring out sadness
We glance … there is no spark
Distance only restrains our love

We want … there is no getting
We need … there is only loneliness
We love … in the words of habit
Distance only restrains our love.

We fall out of love into regrets
We feel only the sadness of love’s failure
We turn away to never look back
For it was distance restraining our love.
