Disappearance Poem by MARINA GIPPS

Disappearance

Rating: 4.7

My black pen was running red ink
I bought firecrackers from soldiers
My bank had closed in my sleep

Argentina was waiting for me
Moon full and lion hungry
The antique shop always moving

I insisted on saving all feathered pens
I insisted on speaking with the deceased
All alone I walked wishing myself invisible
