Different Poem by H Seeking

Different

You drink coffee, I drink tea
Never can the twain together be
You wake early and I sleep late
Will there ever be a date?

I am the moon and you are the Sun
Life has ended even before it has begun
You are the star that I watch from afar
Curious, compelling, cute, contemptuous

You are all these rolled into one
Together we are matched oddly even
And can only meet in the early even
Maybe even twilight before you are alight?

You stand, I sit
Forsooth, twud be a misfit
Perhaps though, there is something more
That the naked eye cannot explore

Things inside the head
That promise wonders ahead
Joy and delight and wondrous flight
Above the heavens, beneath the sea

Forever together in unity
Clasp of an oyster
Grasp of a bee
Twill a life of serenity be
