Dial My Number Poem by Hannah Davies

Dial My Number

Please dial my number
Will this call ever come, I wonder?
All this waiting
And in my head, so much debating.

What happens next?
I need to know, even if it's just through a text.
My life on hold
Words left untold.

Waiting for the phone to ring
Wondering what the future will bring.
Everything seems to be taking so much time
Will they be punished for their crime?

Please contact me
Let me know what the decision will be.
I just want to know either way
But at least I've had my say.

Waiting for a call
Will it be another fall?
If they get away with it, how will I cope
It won't come to that I hope.

Keeping the phone line free
Please could you just ring me.
I just need to know
I can deal with whatever they have to throw.

Please dial my number
Will this call ever come, I wonder?
Whatever the decision, it will be for the best
I will be glad when this is all put to rest.
