Destroyer Of Souls Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Destroyer Of Souls

Who on earth would destroy one's soul?
Would see salvation fail?
Divert sinners from true life's goal
Into hell's waiting jail

Though Jesus came, life's lost to save
Condemned in shame to die
To rescue all from hell's dark grave
Who'll seek His face on high

That by His grace, God would forgive
Once Jesus' blood makes pure
Helping, guiding, able to live
Eternally for sure

Foolishness, to one's ears of sin
Obscure, to lost souls blind
Allowing Satan always win
Spirits, of lost mankind

His evil hordes roam everywhere
Fervently, to deceive
People thinking, willing to share
Sufficiently naive

But such, is The Father willing
To set from devils free
By Jesus, His Son fulfilling
The will of all who'd see

The Way to God's Heavenly dwelling
No shameful soul can find
No scoundrel, faithless rebelling
Where evil reigns inside

Reject instead the devil's horde
Deny Satan's intent
Best seek to serve life's risen Lord
And from all sin repent.....
