Despair Poem by Corey Donahue

Despair

As the days of despair comes closer to my home.
The death of many lies in low.
I cannot stand the profoundness of this beast.
I have become one with its teeth.
Hatred grows with my body.
But needs to calm the growing hunger.
Depressed is all I am
A hollow shell is a now abandoned man
No hope, no dreams, no happy ending
This is the life I am aground
Never a smile and never a dance
For this is a time I cannot be chanced.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is a new format I tried long ago. I abandoned this poem in my youth thinking it was too dark to share. I revived it with some edits.
