Deply In Insomnia Poem by Nithin Jacob

Deply In Insomnia

Smile, beautiful smile yet cynical
Run, run harder race is not over
Passing the 6th step, climbing 7th heaven
Stretch your brain, fetch your soul
Keep your aim, knock your heart
Man lies in his dreams, forget lost glory
It’s not enough, it’s not good
One world, one soul
Time goes, rain falls
Leave them alone, paint your hopes
Music hit, I talk to the brook
In an eccentric lonely meadow
Silent arises, I float on the stream
I see things fading away
They are out of reach, I see no ferry
There is some clatter across the river
Seems like my friend passed away
I can’t reach him now, will I make there?
I had a weird past, church bells rang
I see myself in front of His presence
They used to love me & I had no time for them
But destiny played in between, I was drowning deep
Time flies, life goes, and I was going deeper
There was no angel to hold my hand
Is it that green leaf hugged my feelings?
Now I’m sinking, and I know no to swim
I can see the land, I can hear them scream
But will I reach there? Or
Will I meet my friend up there?
I crossed my fingers, floating over the water
Almost with a whisper, crossed my fingers…
