Dental Floss Poem by Stephen Thomas

Dental Floss

Rating: 3.5

Oh I still feel the cord wrapped around my side
And though I push it away, I know
It can’t be denied
As I passed, and your hand was thrust into mine
Did you see the widening of my eye?
The call was a chain – battered me to the ground
A rope of coiled steel
But now I’m gone
I have fled, and all that is left for it is loss
For this rope of steel
Has been transformed to dental floss
