Delicate Thoughts Poem by seema alvi

Delicate Thoughts

Subtle was the breeze and the clouds had the shine,
The horizon had imbibed a shade of crimson wine:
The air was pink by the vermilion of the sky
You were the breeze and the sky was your eye,
The shine of the sea, the sands of the shore;
The high risen tide with its throttling core:
The ocean was gravid with stories to tell,
But then you resembled the ocean as well
The night creped along and the fire died down,
Another day closed and I stood alone in the town.
I kept on dreaming and you moved very far
For I am the lone solitude and life you are!
