Deep Distress Poem by Dr. Ramesh Chandra Mukhopadhyaya

Deep Distress

Deep distress drowns the downs of the being
Shut up in sorrow the heart seeks to sing
Hymns to Death
Oh Death Drive away the breath
To graze in the air of the infinitude
Silence the lubdub of the heart
Fling the body into the bottomless bin of the earth
And rob the me of mine with a loving hug
