Deep Blue Poem by Danielle Hawkins

Deep Blue

There is something in that deep blue
It is too far to see and too close to touch
It stands there, mocking me while I speak out in hush
There is something in that deep blue
That draws me to it like a moth to a light
It seems old but yet it is new
It becomes fright as you stand to to fight
There is something in that deep blue
That has taken what I stole
There is something in that deep blue
That leaves heart in that hole
There is something in that deep blue
That I will never understand
That deep blue has withstand me again
