Deception Poem by Jonathon Agee

Deception

Rating: 2.3

You tell only lies.

I tell only truth;
You fear such truth.

You lie once more.
Truth, I embrace thee.

You lie to yourself.

I accept the truth;
the truth is my fate.

Then you fear fate.

I fear my fate not;
'tis you who fears fate.

We are one and the same.

I guess I should apologize for being so vague about my last comment. I was a little too cute as well. What I really meant was that the poem required a great deal of thought to really understand and grasp. Such complicated thigs are hard for some readers and they may have difficulty with the work as being a good piece of writing, which it actually is. GW62

You must be good at algebra. This, unfortunately, is poetry. GW62
