December Poem by David Wood

December

Rating: 5.0

December's cold breath has began to blow
Its dark cape casting long nights
And heralds another cold dark winter.
Cold rain lashing windswept streets
With hunched shoppers scurrying to and fro.

Bare trees with stark vertical branches
Like some cast iron fingers
Pointing towards a dark cloudy sky.
Once golden leaves now dark brown
Trodden underfoot, now clogging paths.

Swollen rivers now sweeping branches
Along their winding highways,
Rushing towards the wide open sea.
River banks breaking away.
The full force of natures mighty hand.

The climate is changing, forever.
Winters will become colder,
Windier, wetter with more flooding.
Nature is reminding us
That we have to live in harmony.
December is that month to reflect.

" Nature is reminding us That we have to live in harmony December is that month to reflect." The message given by nature through the month of december and and effects of winter experienced therein beautifully delivered. Thanks for sharing a 5 star nature song.
