Deceive Me Poem by Cindy Rheeder

Deceive Me

Hello stranger where’ve you been?
Deceive, deceive me once again,
Ruinous heart that beats so proud,
May I never ever swore aloud
That I love you with all heart.
Speaking those words I willingly believed,
And all you did was lie and deceived,
Broke a broken heart apart,
All I can do is keep sane.
Lie, Lie to me yet again,
Your green eyes a constant lie,
Asking me why I can’t forgive,
Begging me to please forget,
But all you ever do is break and upset,
Or worse yet just deceive,
So why should I give this love another try?
Do you think I’m madly insane?
Deceive, deceive me one again,
I feel your eyes and know your lies,
I walk away and say goodbye,
‘cause a broken heart can heal on its own,
You can think I am insane,
But I can’t trust you everything is written in your eyes,
All the feelings out the windows like free butterflies,
Time to pack up and go leave you on you all alone.
