Debateable Poem by Elliott Gilbert

Debateable

Zoning in and out
no reason to listen.
These rantings are not indulging.
They are pointless beyond belief,
please just shut up so we can have relief.

We are here to do one thing,
but it seems it can never be done.
Instead just a free period.
To sit, talk, and be lazy.
I thought this was debate or am I crazy?

This is not a class of debate.
Not even chances for debate.
Kids are not ever ready,
they are slackers not students.
It is time to make movements.

To go forward and end this pain.
To call this debate is blasphemous and vain.
It is not really debate if that is what you heard,
but this is a class of nothing, good job Mr. Byrd.
