Death We Think Poem by martine boucher

Death We Think

Rating: 3.0

The time is almost up,
everything is going down,
can't take seeing you like this,
It makes me really frown.
Don't want you to finish this way,
You were made to get your goal...
The one you said you would stay with me,
Until I would grow old.
You're not trying to cause me pain,
that I know for sure...
the thing that's confusing me,
Is what happens after all this?
I hope you can stay with me, for the next 2000 years
never let go and say I love you, before it's too late.
I really appreciate what you do for me
what I like about you
Is that your there to listen to me and daddy I'm always there for you!
I don't want that to change,
I dont want to be lonely.
But if it's your time to go
I know that you love me.

This started off pretty well, but it sort of faded at the end. There were word problems and others but it was the loss of rhyme that really hurt the most. GW62
