Death Leaves Me Wanting Poem by Chuy Amante

Death Leaves Me Wanting

Death leaves me wanting
the past or the future
of the dearly departed

unhappiness prevails

until I leave the past
and ignore the future
and rejoin the NOW
the anguish lives

lives in the past
kills in the future
disallows the now
bewitching my mind

the only escape
comes not later
nor is lost the chance
to be free now

happy with what is
find the perfection
of this moment
i'm ok with its impermanence

The Best! Went all around and then inside and came out again better.
