Death Poem by Tess Connor

Death

Rating: 4.5

Death is my safety net, the word I pull outta my heart
If something gets too confusing, too harsh, too cold, too apart
Death is the centre of revolution around which we all fit
Death is the last encounter of the flame we all have lit
My death will be amazing, the one thing beyond my control
The thing which I will learn from, the one thing over all
The one moment in my life where most riddles will be solved
The last moment of warmth in my heart followed by an eternity of cold
Death to me is exciting, I should be scared but I’m not
To face the dreaded end of my world, the one thing that I’ve got
I’ve tossed away all hope, all desire to better my me
It’s almost time to give in now, to slash my wrists, let my blood flow free
