Dear Sweet Angel, Shall We Dance? Poem by Brian Tinsley

Dear Sweet Angel, Shall We Dance?

How my heart bled for you
and like a well ran dry...

I feel the wind in my hair
It makes me think of you
Unfortunately
I cannot live without you

Death is this one that chases my dreams
He tells me so many things
He said he's an ametuer
In my eyes
You took his place

'In his face! There's a scythe!

I became an empty pit that day
An empty pit of sorrow
As I am no longer of use
Now that you have denied me

Bring he that holds the torch
Closer to the wall
Pray I have the chance, to forget it all

There is so much I never got to tell you
but I wrote it everywhere
In your house and on your bed
If you can't read it forgive me
It's written in tears

I've decided you're not really anything
that can't be replaced
I keep talking to the mirror
Telling lies to my own face?

My dear sweet angel its been so long, shall we dance?

I was just so tired
Waiting for your lips to give me an invitation
I think you can understand

Whisper in my ear one last time
before I'm cast away
'Love will be in us forever, I will come back for you one day'

That promise you let free inside
it's gone, its gone!
Who made it hide?

This sea inside of me so vast and deep
It's waves are choking me... give me back what I use to have

I'm begging you to be my savior
