Dear Nasaka Poem by Patrick Akhudu

Dear Nasaka

It's me here, Nasaka,
Seeking to know;
Did you have to die Nasaka,
To redeem her maidenhood,
Nasaka?
To secure her freedom,
From the shackles of 'mummyhood',
Nasaka?
You had no chance,
Nasaka,
I, too, had no chance...
And now l'm the victim,
Nasaka.
Like you, an 'Embarassing Burden',
To be dealt with,
Nasaka,
With blunt conscience!
lt's Your Own l fear for,
Nasaka,
Exposed to filial infanticide! ...
Nasaka,
l meant to keep 'The Promise',
But how could l tame a 'Black Angel',
Nasaka?
l mourn
