why am I never enough?
why is it that anything I do is never right?
why am I always wrong?
why is it that you never noticed my problems?
why don't you trust me?
why do you think I will do stupid things?
I will never make the mistakes you made
I am not you and never will be
I never want to be like you
a liar
a fake
I never ever want to be like you
anything like you
ever
and you know what I never will be
for that is my goal in life

Reading your poems is like reading a book of poetry I wrote when I was 5. I understand all of this abuse, emotional and physical. I'm glad that I finally realized my own worth, and that my mom is just another human. It took a long time for me to get away from the damage that she had inflicted in my life. Thank you for sharing, I also used to not sign my poems with my real name, because I didn't want her to find anything and say that it was mine. Never forget that you deserve to be happy ~ it is not for her to take it from you.
