Dead Within Poem by Scarlet .....

My soul died long ago
but my mind still lives on
I am the walking dead
I have no will to survive
and no reason to
but yet I can not end this existence
if you call this an existence
I wouldn’t
I am just an empty shell
of what a person should be
when you look at me what is it that you see
do you see what could have been
what should have been
or do you even see me at all
only those who take the time look
really look
see the me
for if you take the time
look into my eyes
within those eyes holds the answer
to why I appear to be so cold
for within those eyes
all you see is an empty hole
where a soul should dwell
but hasn’t for so long
and never will again
for I am dead
and still walking this horrid world
not by choice might I add
life is not just a game
you only have on chance to live your life
I was robbed of mine
so let me share with you one bit of advice
live you life well you still can
for life does not last forever
