Dear Mama Poem by Quir Diing Jr.

Dear Mama

Dear mother,
As I stay in prison
Like an inmate
I thought enough
As a prision of sweetness
This is for you my beloved
Mama,
As you stay in home country
No longer are you second
Class citizens
In your own land
After the junior freedom.

As I continue to be called
An alien,
I will try hard enough
Real hard mother
To bring forth what you sent
Me for
My beloved mother
My love for you came
From the creator
And your prayer together
With daddy’s
Has always kept me
In my dreams.
And always,
Shall I people remember you
As I communicate to the maker.
So that you may taste
The fruit of your labour.

Dear mama,
O, mother
A decade old a way from you
I kissed you mother
And heartless to see your face
And sit once more on your thighs
Like a little child.

In few months time,
I will be tested on what
You sent me for
And your guidance I need
Mama.
Ask the creator on my behave
Always shall I too
And my dreams I shall
Achieved through it
See you in home country
My beloved mother.
Your son.
