Dead In Death Dearly Departed Poem by Terence George Craddock

Dead In Death Dearly Departed

where is the spirit soul gone
that was the one we knew...
without spirit soul an inner
something animated which
made magically eyes glow
with love, lips smile with laughter
humour where is that vacant inner...
twinkle fire in eyes emotions

strong patient love contemplation
even rare anger all seem suddenly...
long gone leaving but a bitter
mourned for outer casing how
does one prepare to face lacklustre
eyes lifeless which shall reanimate never...

join visit engage with us again
we move on if we can reluctantly
we move on eventually acceptingly
or in screaming reality rebellion?
mirrored thoughts will not echo again
in emotions souls bodies left lifeless
souls passing move on needing no longer
spent bodies no more being but a broken

facade
shadow
elusive

soul once
housed
indefinable?

define qualities beneath, a person
is so much more than an individual,
with feelings opinions ambitions,

free spirits no longer earthbound;
may soar into other spacial dimensions, still
seeking answers soul elusive demands?
