Day You Lied Poem by Joe Howell

Day You Lied

Darkness washes over me, like the evening tide
No one lying beside my-side.

Waves of pain, hurt from where you left
it was the evening that i cried.

The sand was made of flesh
for a time we walked, with hearts tied.

However, the flesh renewed
leaving me with with blackness died.

Names written is grains of sand
washed away, before love abide.

Darkness washed over me the day you lied.
