Day Wasting Away Poem by Elizabeth Shadows

Day Wasting Away

</>The day is long and wasting away.
Sitting by the window wishing I were free,
Watching the ants march into their beds.
The birds chirping away,
As the first springs rain is coming.
The first dropp bleeds onto the gravel,
A steam of droplets chase after it.
The afternoon traffic starts,
Everyone comes home.
Tired from a long days work.
Hours go by,
Thing settle down.
darkness falls, Not one sound from the afternoon.
Nothing dares to move.
The moon takes the place of the rain.
It's time to go to bed,
For me as well.
Night.
