Day Time Stars Shinning Poem by Lonnie Hicks

Day Time Stars Shinning

Rating: 2.7

Take me,
Take me,
on the soft wind;

scatter what I am
across the tiny time
together we've spent.

Paste upon me
angel wings;
let Joy
dance with us
winging..

Lift me,
Lift me high
til giddy
til my eyes gleam.

All this
from a simple kiss.

Hear, Hear
my shuddering skin
quaking from that touch first;

Roll me in high grass
wheat chaff in my hair;
the sun bowl rotating
above me-
Day Time Stars Shinning;

all this because of you.

For now-
just this time
I'll treasure this;

Golden Box of
Starry Dreams
even as I know
it might fade.

For now,
its you
and me
sun ablaze;
stars clearly shinning
at high noon.

Love's come
none to soon
so strong
the stars blush
pinks and reds.
