Day Follows Night Poem by Francis Duggan

Day Follows Night

Rating: 5.0

Day follows night and night follows day
And the clock on our lives ever ticking away
On looking back the Seasons time seems to have gone fast
At midnight today it will be of the past
The one who claims all lives from the great to the small
Eventually Life's Reaper will pay us a call
Time does not wait for anyone it did not wait for me
And we only have memories of the what used to be
The longest lived human life in real time not a long span
On average a few years more for a woman that it is for a man
As long as you try to help others and never harm anyone
Your mum and your dad in you raised a good daughter or son
Live and let live as a truism remain
The meaning in this it's own self does explain.
