Daydreams Poem by Francis Duggan

Daydreams

We all do have our own daydreams though for so few daydreams do come true
And so many feel disappointed at lack of success they feel to them that's overdue
The idea of success to everyone is different one's dream of success to another seems small
What one sees as a successful existence to another not successful at all
We all cannot be World renowned leaders we all cannot be looked on as great
Not everyone can be seen by the masses as one worthy to celebrate
Yet everyone surely is equal since the greats of the World have to die
The celebrities and celebrated in that respect no different to you or to I
Life for many is a hard old battle their life road uphill all of the way
They cannot see hope in the future they only live from day to day
I too had my daydreams of success though I'll die unsung without renown
My daydreams I lost them forever in the old fields west of Millstreet Town
We all do have our own daydreams and our daydreams through life we pursue
But so many feel disappointed when their daydreams for them don't come true.
