Dawn Poem by Des Agos

Dawn

The world has woken up from sleep at night
giving space to the diurnal rhythm.
The dew, soft transparent veil
brings to mind the dreams at night.
Sleepy from last night
the soul is awakened.
The rising sun on the horizon
called upon awakening the mind.
In the light illuminates the world
and there is no longer any fear.
And 'the dawn of a day waiting
sought in the darkness of the night.
Sunrise with its light
seems to encourage
to get up from deep sleep
and prepare to face the world
