Darren The Good Man Poem by Francis Duggan

Darren The Good Man

One never offensive in his own quiet way
And a bad word of anyone he never did say
Now in his coffin in the grave where his Wife Annie lay
Darren the good man was; buried today
A father and grandfather he led a moral life
He loved his family and Annie his wife
In his early eighties he had not been sick
In a massive heart attack death came to him quick
That life has it's good and it's bad times happens to be so
His beloved Annie died of cancer five years ago
In her illness and passing great grief he had known
Darren since her death had lived on his own
In his life to many he was a good friend
But sadly his life's journey has come to an end.
