If we had all the time in the world,
Your hair could be all purmed and curled,
And still i'd spend each day; Each hour,
In your presence to devour,
Your other worldly beauty.
Your shyness would be no enigma,
Stigma to you; Nor me.
And yet my dearest,
Time ticks by,
Upon the golden sand we lie,
With this gaping void between us,
Filling with all the things we never said,
And, as the grains of time trickle on by,
You'll begin to wonder 'Why, Oh Why? ',
'Did I never do what I should have done? ',
When we're dead and lost and gone.
Encumbered within our tombs of marlbe,
So, Dash aside this pre-amble;
Foolish charade!
I know you feel the same as I do,
Pre-empt my passion,
My burning lust,
Douse my flearing flames,
Shatter my stained glass window,
Allow me to forge on inside,
And fuel the generations to come.
