Darkness Poem by B. D. Domenick

Darkness

This darkness that I'm in,
It's awful, I hate it, I'm scared
And it leaves me sitting here wondering; thinking
Why I would ever be put here

This darkness that I'm in
It's okay, I mean, It's not great
But it's a lot better than some places
AT least, that's what I think.

This darkness that I'm in
It's starting to feel like home.
And only now do I realize,
This is where I belong.
