Darkness
Wide eyed in the night,
With only darkness in sight
Tugging at the core of my being,
Gripping tightly with no intent of fleeing
Sinking into my heart...deeper & deeper
My only path becoming...steeper & steeper
It's consuming me, pulling me farther down
No escape or hope of ever being found
Fighting, struggling to overcome
The nothingness that's making me numb
Trapped in an abyss with no light,
There's only the darkness in sight

So much is said in this, Darkness is all consuming, and will swallow you whole. Your words have the effect on me and through pen and paper, a keyboard stroke... light will shine, and give you hope. Great Write Lisa! -Kelly.
