Light Poem by Lisa Michelle

Light

A merciful peace has begun to ascend
The bitterness & prickly cold has come to an end
Slowly warmth engulfs me
As if I've finally broken free

The darkness is now a brilliant light that fills every crevice of my heart-
Captivating my body, the warmth envelopes my every part

No longer tattered & tethered
The pieces are coming together
Foreign, yet familiar...I'm becoming whole
Remembering...the lost parts of my soul

Emptiness can no longer thrive here
No more uncertainty, no more fear
My heart feels as if a great weight has been lifted
All the knots have been smoothed out & untwisted

Have I been forgiven...saved...healed
Light fills every crevice of my heart, the darkness forever concealed!

A poem of hope and forgiveness. I like the idea of breaking free from the darkness and prickly (?) cold.
