Darkness, darkness I call on thee
Take me down under
I can no longer be.
I can't take the world
And what it throws my way.
I don't want to be here anymore
Just hide me today.
Why can't I blend into the dark
Like a shadow from the night.
Far away from everything
Out of all sight.
Let the darkness take over
And pull me further under ground
Till it completely smothers me
Till there is no sound.
Darkness is my friend
It comes so easy now.
It hides me from the world
Now I don't bow.
I do what I want and whenever I please.
The darkness helped me out
Now I'm never on my knees.
Darkness, darkness I call on thee

People look at me and stare
Like I'm insane
But seriously people
What's wrong with pain.
The darkness helps me out
Shows me how to live
I don't do anything
It's so nice of it to give.
I'm one of a million
Who probably feel the same.
But what can I do
My pain wont be tame
