Darkness Poem by Hannah Minton

We lay in the darkness
Just looking for the words
Its as if the darkness hides them
But I can hear you
That's all that matters
Your presence is there
I can feel you
And it makes me at rest
You are so warm
I am never cold
And you are never harsh
So we lay there
I have some ideas
but putting them into words is hard
So I kept thinking
You arent afraid of dissaproval
Everything you say is brilliant
I am starting to get nervous
You know i hate silence
Suddenly the light goes on
And we arent in the dark
I am still here, and I always
will be, i like living in the dark
with only you
