Dark Places Poem by Vision Ghost

Dark Places

Much that was committed in time doth steer
Reaping the consciousness of abhorrent fear
That the air in silence speaks only in shadows
The dark shapes of a history in acrid hollows

An atrocity of nightmares upon flesh
Chains, chains, so much suffering thresh
Eyes water as the walls bleed their visions
Of the cruelty, the despair, savage excursions

Of hells embodiment within torment on skin
The spastic of minds for experimental sin
Cold in senses as the stillness prevails the hosts
The place of bedlam, this real place of ghosts

Silence be this place now, long gone the bleeding
Only in motion for the morbid accounting
No one survived, no one survived to say how
Of the torment, the anguish, this place of now

Look at this; you can see what happened here
You can seek in your mind the horror to seer
Through the soul of mortal hearts in disposition
Dare to look into that place, of your darkest vision

The tortured, the tested, the innocence of sorrow
Within the graves of sleep but dug so shallow
Stare forward; stare on forever, of empty faces
Etched into the walls upon these dark places
