Midnight stars, please show your strength
Give to night a long delay.
Bring the owls out to flight,
cleanse my anguish all away.

Kill the sun, oh lovely moon.
Give to night your coldest chill.
Freeze my heart, prohibit tears,
Never cried and never will.

Darkness, fill my weary eyes
Free me from my lack of love
Loosen me into the night,
Hold me in the sky above

Let me join the outer void
Let me leave the plaguing ground
Now I'm surely coming up
Not a voice to call me down
